Take 5 opening another Oil Change Garage

Take 5 Oil Change has been expanding throughout the Front Range, and now, they are expanding to a second Cheyenne location on the south side near The Outlaw Saloon and the newly built McDonald's.
Recent events
More than a year ago, it was reported here at Optopolis that Take 5 Oil Change would open a location along Dell Range Blvd next to Bicycle Station and Sonic, and now, work is progressing on a second location along South Greeley Highway.

Most likely, everyone on the south side of town already has some idea that McDonald's recently built a new restaurant
on South Greeley Highway just south of The Outlaw. McDonald's took the
southern portion of a mostly unpaved out lot previously and frequently
used as additional parking, primarily for The Outlaw Saloon. In 2019,
the land was briefly and occasionally used by the Taco John's food truck
(yes, the taco chain).
The newly built McDonald's didn't replace the entire out lot, however, and this left a sizable section of vacant, mostly unused land that likely has potential for some other usage. And now, the land is expected to see new usage.

Take 5 Oil Change submits plans for new location, breaks ground
Back in June 2024, Site Plan PZ-24-00058 was submitted, seen on Laramie County's new Permits and Projects Public Portal, and it included plans to build a new Take 5 Oil Change location; that permit was approved. The new building is expected to measure approximately 1,300 square feet; site plans indicate the building will have two car bays inside of the building.
Subdivision Permit PZ-24-00088
indicates that there are plans to subdivide the property, leaving a
parcel of vacant land west of both McDonald's and the new Take 5 Oil
Change facility.
By November 2nd, 2024, ground had broken on the garage, and visitors to the area could
see a pile of broken up pavement and a trench in the area of what is
becoming the building's foundation.

Retail & Restaurant Facility Business reported on December 21st, 2023 (a little over one year ago) that Take 5 had opened their 1000th location in Fort Pierce, Florida. It was only a few months sooner in September 2023 that a franchised Take 5 Oil Change opened in Longmont.
Now in January 2025, the foundation of the new Take 5 on South Greeley Highway is well underway. The lot is mostly blocked off in such a way that prevents vehicles from easily passing across the land that is now under construction.

The new location isn't yet listed on Take 5's website as of the time of writing, and it's not yet clear (with certainty) to Optopolis how soon the new South Greeley Highway location will open.
