Freddy's is almost ready to open; Jersey Mike's is coming too!

Here's a look at recent events with Cheyenne's Freddy's, and also where things are at right now with a Jersey Mikes Subs in the works! Freddy's plans Cheyenne location As mentioned in the previous 2022 article on this topic , there was already word of mouth as soon as Spring 2021 that Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steak Burgers was interested in opening a Cheyenne location, but there wasn't any official confirmation of this information, therefore leaving this information as a rumor--nothing more, nothing less. Freddy's located in Loveland, Colorado - The Retail Photographer Fast-forward to August 2021, plans for a Cheyenne Freddy's were actively in mind with initial Project items being submitted to the Cheyenne City Planning website late that month.

Boyd Building raises Cheyenne's highest flying flag

East High's Marching Band was present playing some tunes for the event as well! A glance at history and recent events The Boyd Building was once known as the Citizen's Bank building. It was built around the year 1912; the bank closed in the early 20s. Not long after, Boyd Hubert bought the building and renamed it to the Boyd Building in the process. At the time that it was built, the Citizens Bank building was the tallest building in Cheyenne although these days , numerous buildings beat it in height including the neighboring Firstier Bank building. Here are more details about the move and a glance at the history. History of the existing location The location where Twisted Beauty is currently located, 1719 Logan Avenue, displays the name, "Chris' Hair Port," which seems to have been the name on the space since at least 2007. Twisted Beauty is currently set up as a booth at the Logan Avenue location, and previously, the booth was called Beauty by Ralyn. Medicap Pharmacy is set to close!

Here's what it currently looks like and when their last day will occur, as well as a list of pharmacies in Cheyenne. A glance at the history Cheyenne's Medicap Pharmacy has been open for many years. It turns out that it dates back to 2001, the year noted as the build date in the Laramie County Property Assessor's GIS map, and a 2014 article written by Sarah Zoellick confirms that it opened in 2001. It appears the Cheyenne location may finally actually be making some tangible headway! Recent events with Barnes & Noble (and Natural Grocers) If you haven't been keeping up on the topic or you could use a refresh, let's catch you up/refresh you. Last year (in 2022) on Wednesday, March 30th, Barnes & Noble Cheyenne (which dates back to 1995) announced that they were going to relocate. BlendZ Wellness Bar going to open on Evans Ave!

BlendZ Wellness Bar's window sticker - Optopolis Cheyenne is about to get another healthy alternative in the restaurant/cafe market with a new locally owned shop setting up in a space along Evans Avenue near the hospital! A glance at the soon-to-be BlendZ Located at the corner of Evans Avenue and East 21st Street, the building which contains the soon-to-be BlendZ Wellness Bar was built in 1923 according to the Laramie County Property Assessor map. A look at the building along Evan's, located about one block from the older hospital parking garage - Optopolis In recent years, it appears this space was mostly vacant. However in 2018, one can see in Google Maps street view that a place called National Multiple Sclerosis Society was in the space, and in 2021, a place called Young Again Adult Daycare was present in the space. Town Square Marketplace to hold Grand Opening

Town Square Marketplace's sign on their W Lincolnway location - Optopolis New store Town Square Marketplace previously opened its doors in Downtown Cheyenne, and they are holding a grand opening event later this week! A glance at the building's history The space where Town Square Marketplace is located (309 W Lincolnway) is one that is very old and has a lot of history behind it. The building itself dates back to 1924 as listed in the county property assessor map. Over the years many things have occupied the space as well! The Quilted Corner's storefront - Google Maps Street View Between the years 2007 and 2017 as seen in Google Maps street view, a place called The Quilted Corner occupied the space. A photo in the Laramie County Property Assessor's map dated 2020/12/04 shows that a store called RePeak Outdoor & Sports was present in the space.
