It appears Twisted Beauty Hair Salon will soon be moving to a new location! Here are more details about the move and a glance at the history.

History of the existing location

The location where Twisted Beauty is currently located, 1719 Logan Avenue, displays the name, "Chris' Hair Port," which seems to have been the name on the space since at least 2007. Twisted Beauty is currently set up as a booth at the Logan Avenue location, and previously, the booth was called Beauty by Ralyn.

Beauty by Ralyn, the name that makes up part of the URL of Twisted Beauty's existing/older website, appears to date back to at least 2019 as noted in the Wyoming Secretary of State's Business Center site. Currently, the existing/older website displays the name, "Twisted Beauty" at the top of the page.

Twisted Beauty works to open in new space

Owner Ralyn has been working become a shop owner, and it appears a part of that process includes Twisted Beauty Hair Studio. Twisted Beauty is the name of the new shop, the vocal point of the newer website, and (as mentioned above) the name currently displayed at the top of the exiting/older website.

Just set up earlier this year, "expected June 2023" can be found written on the paper in the window of the new store front. Currently, the location page on the new website has a countdown for when the location is expected to open, the date of which would be the morning of Monday, June 26th as of the time of writing. Ralyn has clarified that the new location is now set to be opening on July 4th.

Upon visiting on July 4th, it turns out things fell behind schedule slightly; Ralyn plans to open the new space on Thursday, July 6th although she indicated that she already expects to be busy with appointments that day.

A recent Facebook post from Twisted Beauty reveals that there is still work to be done, but the space is getting closer to being ready to open. Twisted Beauty shared in the comments of another post that they are going for a steampunk vibe on the interior.

Details about the new location (and a touch on its history)

The new location of Twisted Beauty is in Cheyenne's Domino's Plaza; more specifically, the address of the new location is 507 E Pershing Blvd, directly next door to Domino's Pizza where Quick Check Cash Loans was once located.

The Laramie County Property Assessor's GIS map notes a build date of 1969 for the E Pershing Blvd building. As of 2007, both Quick Check and Domino's Pizza were present, but Quick Check was just east of Domino's which, at the time, occupied the space that included the now-soon-to-be Twisted Beauty.

In 2018, the building was being renovated; in the process of the renovation, Domino's and Quick Check swapped locations, putting Domino's at the east end of the building (where it is today).

Quick Check appears to have been open until at least 2021 as seen in Google Maps Street View imagery from that year. Ralyn got the keys to the former Quick Check space back around May 2023 as revealed in a video on the Twisted Beauty Facebook page.

For the time being, the other booths at the old location are expected to continue operating after Twisted Beauty relocates since the other booths are ran by other people.

First Day: Thursday, July 7th

Ralyn's storefront did open on July 7th. A busy day with many appointments, the new space still has some minor finishing touches to be made, but it was ready to go for appointments.

Old Chicago closes Cheyenne restaurant!
