Town Square Marketplace to hold Grand Opening

New store Town Square Marketplace previously opened its doors in Downtown Cheyenne, and they are holding a grand opening event later this week!
A glance at the building's history
The space where Town Square Marketplace is located (309 W Lincolnway) is one that is very old and has a lot of history behind it. The building itself dates back to 1924 as listed in the county property assessor map. Over the years many things have occupied the space as well!

Between the years 2007 and 2017 as seen in Google Maps street view, a place called The Quilted Corner occupied the space. A photo in the Laramie County Property Assessor's map dated 2020/12/04 shows that a store called RePeak Outdoor & Sports was present in the space. As of 2021, a store called Prairie House was present.
Town Square Marketplace opens
As shared on Wyoming News Now, back in April 2023, Town Square Marketplace was setting up shop in the building located just west of the Tivoli building. It appears they first opened back in early May as shared in an earlier post on the stores' Facebook page.

The Cheyenne store is mainly focused on western fashion and clothing although they do also offer other products such as home goods and even some cold/frozen foods including beef!
It appears the store has connection to a place called "The Town Square" located in Torrington which according to The Torrington Telegram is a partnership between three local businesses: Bear Mountain Beef, Wagner's Floral, and J&B Liquor.
Both the Cheyenne store and Torrington partnership are owned by Wyoming State Senator Cheri Steinmetz as well as her daughter, Celsie Sussex. As shared in a quote in Wyoming News Now's article written by Valeria Fugate, the owners had, "looked at [the possibility of] a booth at Frontier Days in the past," wondering why not be located downtown year-round instead of just during Frontier Days?

Grand Opening is around the corner!
The store recently shared on their Facebook page that they are having their Grand Opening on June 9th and June 10th. Their event page on Facebook mentions that they will have, "local beef samples, ladies clothing, shoes, and [that you can enter into] the raffle with a purchase." As mentioned in this Facebook post, one of these raffle items is a pair of BEX Sunglasses.
Cheyenne Chamber is also planning to hold a Red Carpet Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, June 29th at 4 PM to 5 PM; you can find information about the event on their website.
