New embroidery shop, Compass Rose, opens at Frontier Mall

A view of Compass Rose Embroidery and Engraving, seen last Saturday - Optopolis

In a recent visit to the Frontier Mall last Saturday, it was discovered here at Optopolis that a new embroidery shop had opened at the Frontier Mall, and it's already open!

A glance at the history of the space

Located at the west end of the mall, space 8 in the Frontier Mall was previously occupied by Pashmina & Gifts as is displayed in street view imagery captured back when Pet City was still located across the hallway.

In 2019, Frontier Mall and Paradise Pool Leagues of Cheyenne "teamed up to open...a new place for the Juniors and kids to have a place to play pool," called RAILS. The new storefront included pool tables along with a skee ball machine.

This was until 2023 when Bumpers Arcade and RAILS combined forces in a relocation from their previous locations into a single storefront--the former DEB that was more recently occupied by All Wild Western (just across the hall from JoAnn Fabrics).

Sherman Hill Railroad used the old Bumpers/CJ Banks location at least once for their model trains since the relocation of Bumpers Arcade. However, at the moment, that space is currently vacant.

Compass Rose Custom Embroidery & Engraving opens

Sometime over the last month, Compass Rose set up shop inside of the old RAILS location, and it is now open! It was open as of a visit last Saturday although it wasn't yet clear what the business was called until Frontier Mall shared more information about it.

The listing on Frontier Mall's website states that their hours are as follows:

  • 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Wednesday through Saturday
  • 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sundays
  • Closed Mondays and Tuesdays

They don't appear to have their own website at this time, but according to Frontier Mall, their phone number is (970) 213-1758.

What is Compass Rose?

According to WY Maker LLC in the comments section of a previous Facebook post, Compass Rose is a combination of businesses, including embroidery, laser engraving, and sublimation/vinyl. In the original post, WY Maker mentioned that they share their new mall space with Bosun's Hole and Zamco.

WY Maker shared that they were previously set up at the Exchange on Warren Air Force Base and moved into the mall so that they'd have more space to operate.

What do you think of the mall's new embroidery shop, and have you tried their services yet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
