Ruby Juice has new owners, will rebrand to Wyogrown Microgreens and Things!

A new owner has purchased Ruby Juice and has plans to not only keep the ideals from Ruby Juice, but also to expand upon it under the new name, Wyogrown Microgreens and Things.

A bit of history and recent events

Ruby Juice was originally owned by Jay and Peggy Harnish although in later years (including 2016), Peggy was listed as the only owner according to their BlogSpot page. Ruby Juice opened around the early to mid-2000s. This was quite sometime after the build date of the building--about 1924 as noted in the Laramie County Property Assessor's GIS map.

In April 2019 and as noted by the Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority, Kathryn, Tyler, and Warren Child took over the business. According to a worker that worked for Ruby Juice under the Child's family, Tyler was the main person who kept Ruby Juice running through the pandemic, taking advantage of delivery and pickup options.

In April 2023, another new owner came into the picture; more specifically, Stefan and Jessica Mastromarino purchased Ruby Juice. Between September and November 2023, Ruby Juice closed and the business was put back on the market again, looking for yet another new owner.

Wyogrown Microgreens and Things coming soon!

Last Thursday, it was discovered here at Optopolis that work was actively taking place inside of the former Ruby Juice. The now-owner of the shop, Isaiah, shared that he has been operating a business called Wyo Grown that is about microgreens, and he is the new owner of the former Ruby Juice.

Isaiah plans to open the new shop under a new name, "Wyogrown Microgreens and Things," a spin of the Wyo Grown name that emphasizes having more than just microgreens. Boasted as the future of the business, he is planning to have products that Ruby Juice previously offered, and even more.

Ruby Juice visitors likely are familiar with their smoothies as well as some food offerings they served their customers. A sign in the window of the soon-to-be Wyogrown Microgreens and Things space advertises various products that they'll have, including smoothies, wraps, soup, herbal teas, and even freeze dried candy/fruit/veggies!

Isaiah mentioned to Optopolis that the goal of opening the storefront once again had been underway for more than a month. Currently, the space is still getting set up; last Thursday, two people could be seen removing an old appliance from the store, and the interior still has a bit of work to go before it's complete.

The big question here is, have you ever had freeze-dried candy, fruit, or veggies? Are you excited to see a new owner taking over the former Ruby Juice? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
