Recent events On a near-daily basis since Christmas in 2024, the owners of Twinkle Twinkle Little store have been hammering to relocate their products and fixtures from the Downtown Cheyenne location to the Frontier Mall, across the way from Compass Rose and Joann. For those who missed the recent article , the owners of Twinkle Twinkle Little Store announced last year that they would be moving to the Frontier Mall after new owners of the Tivoli Building were set to not renew the lease for Twinkle Twinkle Little Store. Recent events More than a year ago, it was reported here at Optopolis that Take 5 Oil Change would open a location along Dell Range Blvd next to Bicycle Station and Sonic, and now, work is progressing on a second location along South Greeley Highway. Camp Kitchen closes at Frontier Mall

A couple visits Camp Kitchen in May 2024 - Optopolis Camp Kitchen, a shop-and-cafe concept that operated inside Frontier Mall over the last year, has made the difficult decision to close their doors. It closed in late January of 2025. Previous events of Camp Kitchen In February 2024, it was reported here on Optopolis that Currents Custom, LLC would be opening a shop at the Frontier Mall called Camp Kitchen, taking over a previous pizza shop . Camp Kitchen was a food joint that offered fresh eats on the spot and prepackaged snacks to-go. When it first opened, Camp Kitchen's menu initially included paninis, chips, arepas, and coffee. In recent months, menu options also included breakfast items like pancakes, french toast, biscuits and gravy, and bacon/sausage; as well as additional lunch items such as cabbage burgers and salads. Bison Nutrition & Energy sign seen above the Vandehei Avenue location - Optopolis Recently, Bison Nutrition & Energy, a beverage restaurant located along Vandehei Avenue and Hynds Blvd near I-25, has closed their doors. It's not clear to Optopolis if they may reopen anytime soon. Previous history and events The building which includes the former Bison Nutrition & Energy (known as the Vandehei Plaza) was built at approximately the turn of 2005 as confirmed by Google Earth and the Laramie County Property Assessor GIS. It appears that an early occupant of the now-former Bison Nutrition space was Elite Cleaners. Google Maps Street View reveals that Elite Cleaners' signage was posted on the building for more than a decade, and the location was listed on Elite Cleaners' website . Used book sale sign seen during a previous Book Sale event - Optopolis DKG's 41st Annual Used Book Sale (2025) will take place next door to Frontier Trampoline Park, inside the newly abandoned Big Lots that once housed Hobby Lobby. Donation info and dates are listed further below! History of the Big Lots/Frontier Trampoline Park Located in Parkway Plaza (the area just west of Cheyenne Plaza), the newly former Big Lots space most recently made up approximately half of Cheyenne's Hobby Lobby. Prior to Hobby Lobby, two other tenants used the building including BEST and Labelle's, both which were department stores. Hobby Lobby relocated to the former Kmart on Dell Range Blvd in 2018, and in 2019, the old Lincolnway Hobby Lobby space was subdivided for Frontier Trampoline Park and Big Lots. History of CFA & Nay&Jays First, Chick Fil A. CFA is the original tenant of space 89 (formerly, space 71). Store #192, Cheyenne's CFA opened in the week of March 15th, 1981 as noted in an article from Wyoming State Tribune-Eagle, dated March 17, 18, 1981 (courtesy of Wyoming State Archives). At that time, CFA didn't franchise their operations, but even back then, they closed on Sundays, and CFA operators were only allowed to operate a single store. Sew More than Vacuums banner sign covers the Blakeman sign at Cheyenne Plaza - Optopolis Sew More Than Vacuums (formerly Blakeman's Vacuums and Sewing) has closed their Cheyenne store located at 3521 East Lincolnway, and they may only have one location left (in Boulder) according to their store locator. Previous history of the space According to the Cheyenne City Directory from 2000, a laundromat called Cheyenne Plaza Laundry was located at 3521 East Lincolnway as of that year. At this time, Optopolis is unable to confirm what other tenants prior to Blakeman operated at this location. Blakeman Vacuums and Sewing opened sometime in the 2010s, though the exact date of opening isn't currently clear to Optopolis. Archived saves of the Blakeman website go as far back as November 2013 and seem to indicate that the store officially opened sometime between 2013 and 2015; the company name wasn't filed in the State of Wyoming until 2015. 7-Brew Coffee announces Opening Date (Cheyenne, WY)

Seven Brew (7B) Drive Thru Coffee sign seen on their new Cheyenne location - Optopolis 7-Brew Coffee has officially announced that the public-opening day of their Cheyenne location will be January 20th, 2025, although they will have some friends and family days prior to opening officially, during which people can try 7-Brew if they so choose. Recent events: Demolition of Subway/Inta Juice Back in early to mid 2024, it was discovered here at Optopolis that the Subway/Inta Juice combo theme located at Dell Range Boulevard and Bluegrass Circle (across from Wendy's) would close. Both Subway and Inta Juice closed at about 2 PM on May 21st, 2024. Around the start of June 2024, Inta Juice told Optopolis via their Instagram handle that nothing was in the works for a new Cheyenne location at that time, and that if this changes, they would post information regarding the topic. What's pickleball? Pickleball is similar to tennis, but it typically uses hollow, plastic balls; smaller, ping-pong-paddle-like rackets; slightly smaller nets; and smaller courts.
