Dog Haus is getting replaced... by you guessed it, Dog Haus! You'll soon once again be able to get burgers and dogs on the Sweet Hawaiian Rolls!

As covered in past articles here on Optopolis (The Pershing MarketPlace and Dog Haus Closes), there once stood a person's house in the vicinity of Dog Haus which could be seen still standing as recently as 2011.

The Pershing MarketPlace was beginning to be built in 2018; Dog Haus Biergarten was being built by 2019, opening for the first time between the end of January 2020 and February 1st, 2020. As Phylicia Peterson reported on 101.9 KING, Dog Haus was set to close on March 5th 2023.

Dog Haus corporate, according to Phylicia Peterson's followup article, was looking to make the closure a temporary one, marking the location on their website as temporarily closed. A bit of the furnishings around the restaurant including the exterior TVs had later been removed, as seen in the abandoned Dog Haus video.

After seeing what happened with nearby Church's (owned by the same franchisee) it was believed by some that Dog Haus may not come back, but it appears the tables have turned! At least for Dog Haus, that is...

Dog Haus is actively coming back!

Upon passing by the location on Tuesday, May 16th, one could see the covers on some of the Dog Haus signage had been removed, exposing the guts of the signage, as well as a couple of new "coming soon" signs.

Talking with one of the workers present, Dog Haus apparently found a new owner for the Cheyenne location! The "coming soon" signage listed a hiring fair set for Saturday, May 20th, 2023; the worker mentioned they are planning on opening the restaurant on June 12th (which is a Monday).

Delayed but still coming

As of a pass by the location on June 12th, it appears plans had changed as the restaurant wasn't open yet. As of June 17th, the store still had "opening soon" signs posted such as the one below.

At this time here at Optopolis, the current planned opening date is not known; once the date is known, the article will be updated to reflect this info. 

Opening date announced!

On Cheyenne's Dog Haus Instagram account, @doghaus_cheyenne, a story was just posted on June 23rd stating that they plan to open Monday with a countdown to June 26th.

Soft opening, public first day, grand opening info

Dog Haus added an event to their Facebook page for their first official day open to the public, which indeed was Monday, June 26th.

It turns out that Dog Haus had a very soft opening on Sunday, June 25th during which friends and family connected to Cheyenne's Dog Haus staff were invited to visit the restaurant to try the food under the new ownership.

According to multiple people who visited that day, Cheyenne's Dog Haus plans to have a grand opening celebration sometime in the near and coming weeks although the exact day of which is not known yet here at Optopolis, and an event hasn't yet been added to the Cheyenne Dog Haus Facebook Page.
