New Tattoo Parlor opened at the Frontier Mall!

A brand new locally owned tattoo and piercing parlor is now open at the Frontier Mall near Daily Thread.

A quick glance at the history

This space was previously a hair salon called REGIS. REGIS Salons are located across the country, and in recent years, they've been closing many locations. According to their salon finder page, there are currently no locations in the states of Wyoming, Colorado, and Nebraska.

REGIS has a connection to MasterCuts which had a location in Casper, but that location is no longer open either. According to this site list, there are also no MasterCuts in Wyoming or Colorado; there is however one location in Nebraska, found in the city of Lincoln.

Cheyenne's REGIS was getting ready to close by June 10th, 2021, with signage stating the location would close on June 19th. The location sat vacant for a while--until recently...

Beautiful Addiction Tattoo and Piercing announces plans to open in Cheyenne

By March 2023, there was talk of Beautiful Addiction Tattoo and Piercing coming to Cheyenne, one of the Facebook posts on the topic using a photo of what appeared to be Greeley Mall's Beautiful Addiction Tattoo and Piercing II. By April 2nd, signage could already been seen posted above the entry to the space.

According to posts from both the Cheyenne location's Facebook page and the Greeley location's Facebook page, they held their grand opening party on Saturday, May 27th, officially opening the store for the first time.

Now on April 28th, one can see that the parlor is definitely open for business! It does appear to be locally owned based on the filing on the Wyoming Business Entity Search which notes an initial filing date of March 15th. Also according to the Wyoming Secretary of State site, however, the main offices are located in Windsor, Colorado.

Dutch Bros Coffee is coming to Cheyenne (for real)

Old Chicago closes Cheyenne restaurant!

Cheyenne's Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom permanently closed yesterday evening, at least an hour before their normal closing time of 10 PM on Sundays. A glance at the history of it According to Old Chicago's about page , Old Chicago dates back to its 1976 founding in Boulder, Colorado. They brag about their "tavern thin and classic thick crust pizzas" and their "110 local and legendary beers." Here at Optopolis, their pizza and broccoli-cheese soup (pictured below) were go-to items to eat in visits to the restaurant throughout the years.
