Sideways Ziggi's Coffee sign hangs off the side of City Center Building - Optopolis Ziggi's Coffee just put out an announcement on their Thomes Avenue Facebook page, stating that the location will be closing permanently. It operated for less than two years. A glimpse at recent events with Ziggi's Ziggi's Coffee first made their way into Cheyenne with a drive-thru-only location on Yellowstone Road that opened at the end of July 2021. They expanded in 2023 to a second location inside of the City Center building that Western Vista Credit Union currently occupies; this is on the corner of Thomes Avenue and West 20th Street, across from the Cheyenne Civic Center. This location didn't have a drive thru, but did feature a small dining room and was set to feature a walk-up window. Absolute Flooring, former Carpet Works, has recently closed. - Optopolis It appears Cheyenne's Absolute Flooring store, located in the Cheyenne Plaza near North College Drive and East Lincolnway, has closed. The signage is down, and the inside of the store is empty... well, except for Spirit Halloween supplies. A look at the history Cheyenne city directories from the years 1990 and 1994 display "Old America Store" at this location. The 1995 directory, however, lists Carpet Works as present inside one of the two suites that, at the time, now made up this larger space; the directory lists Carpet Works in space G2 and Sav-On in space G. On the contrary, Carpet Works filed with the state in April 1992. Carpet Works continued to operate until around the start of the 2010s.
