What's up with the Cheyenne Bomgaars? (formerly JAX at Frontier Mall)

Image
Bomgaars banner sign hangs on mall entry - Optopolis Anyone who has visited Cheyenne's new Bomgaars, formerly JAX, likely has noticed that the store is a bit, "all-over-the-place," and this is largely because the store is still in the process of converting into Bomgaars in spite of their soft opening to the public. Cheyenne JAX is now Bomgaars, many items on sale To clear up some confusion Optopolis has observed in the Cheyenne community, JAX Mercantile Company is very much still alive; they still have stores in Colorado and Iowa operating like usual under the ownership of JAX. It was only the Cheyenne JAX store which was sold to Bomgaars. This means anyone who wants to visit JAX can still do so, it just means a trip to Fort Collins, Loveland, or Lafayette in Colorado...or Ames in Iowa, or ordering online from the JAX website . JAX has stores in Fort Collins (2), Lafayette (2), Loveland (1), Broomfield (1), and Ames (1). Loveland technically still has two stores, but the ...

Recent events 307 Hatchet House was previously located along Nationway near Ashley Furniture. They originally opened about three years ago in May of 2022, and their core game is throwing axes at a board that looks suspiciously similar to a dart board... But much bigger and made of watered-down-wood. Although axe-throwing is their main gig, the location also featured pool, air hockey, and some arcade games. 307 Hatchet House's old location along Nationway is now vacant. - Optopolis The lease on their old location was coming to the end, so they had to move out of that location which closed in very late December 2024. They ultimately chose to mov...

Cheyenne Joann seen on the day of 500-newly-announced store closures - Optopolis More than five hundred Joann stores were just announced to close amid their second bankruptcy within about one year, and Cheyenne's store (located at Frontier Mall) was just announced to close. A glimpse at the history of Joann in Cheyenne Joann Fabrics and Crafts' history in Cheyenne actually goes much farther back than some may realize.
