Frontier Mall's and Cheyenne's "The Playground," a fun and entertainment facility primarily intended for younger audiences, is anticipated to officially open on February 7th and start their grand opening.

Recent events

Over the last few weeks, The Playground, a business local to Greeley Mall in Greeley, Colorado, has been working to expand to Cheyenne, Wyoming in Frontier Mall. The facility will be replacing Rue21, located near JCPenney and Shoe Carnival. The topic was initially reported on Optopolis in early December 2024.

Some of the work has included adding signage onto the storefront and removing previous Rue21 branding from the storefront. A new TV screen has been installed in one of the display areas, such that it can be seen from inside the concourse of the Frontier Mall, and various playground equipment has been set up inside of the former Rue21.

Grand opening announced

In late January, The Playground Cheyenne announced that the Cheyenne location would open on February 7th, 2025 at 10 AM. Their new website has been updated to reflect this information.

While some facilities like Bounce Empire in Lafayette, Colorado are more open to people of all ages, this facility is mainly intended for younger audiences, especially and primarily those who are between the ages of 1 to 10 years old.

Their website indicates that it's a $10 admission per child with unlimited re-entries for the day; it goes on to say, "Crawlers don't have to pay to play. Older siblings are welcomed to join the fun when paying regular admission, parents never have to pay." There is a liability waiver for visitors, which can be accessed and signed online; it asks for the participant's/adult's name, age acknowledgement, signature, and email address--in addition to the minor's name if the agreement is for a minor.

The website indicates that parties can be booked for 2 hours per event and for $159. Reservations can be made online, and events can occur in the Morning/Afternoon, Late Afternoon/Evening, or on Sundays. Party-goers can bring their own food, non-alcoholic drinks, and birthday cake, although Dippin Dots ice cream, Coke products, and snacks are available at their snack bar for purchase.

A mini fridge, microwave and 8-foot-long table are provided for parties, and the party area can seat 20 guests. Adults and crawlers do not count toward the number of children in the package. Further information can be found when setting up an event through their website.

The website states that subscribers can get a 20% off voucher for your first birthday party package in addition to receiving opening updates, coupons, and secret deals.
