At this time, Spirit Halloween will NOT be occupying Cheyenne's Big Lots in 2024. - Optopolis Spirit Halloween will be coming back to Cheyenne for 2024, but they will be occupying a different space in the Cheyenne Plaza--the former Absolute Flooring, next door to Party America. (The previous version of this article was retracted due to inaccurate details on the location of the Spirit Halloween in 2024. This Kum & Go sign will soon be refaced with the Maverik Banner. - Optopolis Maverik acquired Kum & Go and announced that they would be retiring the entire Kum & Go brand by 2025. Utah's Kum & Go locations have already been converted, Colorado's are nearly done, and Wyoming's are now on the list. Previous events with Maverik and Kum & Go Back in 2022, one of Cheyenne's Kum & Go locations, located on East Lincolnway in Downtown Cheyenne, rebranded to hi MARKET . At the time, it wasn't clear if something may happen to Cheyenne's other two Kum & Go locations, located along Ridge Road (one on East Lincolnway, the other at Dell Range Boulevard). Redbox is shutting down in Cheyenne -- and Nationwide

One of two kiosks at this Redbox location (Walgreens on East Lincolnway) was not functioning as of July 16th, apparently due to the application crashing - Optopolis Parent of Redbox, Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, swapped its Chapter 11 bankruptcy for Chapter 7 as part of a court order . As part of the bankruptcy, all streaming services and rental kiosks will be shut down. This signage had already been installed as of June 20th. - Optopolis Michoacan A Pedir De Boca, a Mexican ice cream shop, is set to softly open Saturday afternoon (July 13th) at the Frontier Mall, and they plan to have their grand opening later this month! Recent events It was discovered here at Optopolis during the first week of April 2024 that Michoacan A Pedir De Boca, a chain of Mexican ice cream shops, was looking to open a location at the Frontier Mall. Specifically, they chose Space#24, the location in the mall most recently occupied by a cafe (that once was occupied by Subway) located in the food court. Many tenants have occupied the space since Subway closed including Na Café Coffee Shop, The Galaxy Cafe, Enchanted Bean, and Forge Cafe. A worker at Bourbon Street Candy Co mentioned that their candy shop briefly occupied the former Subway , as well, before moving next door to the then-Sports Authority. Albertsons and Kroger are continuing to battle for their merger - Background Photo: The Retail Photographer A detailed list of stores planned for divestiture to C&S, primarily made up of larger Albertsons Companies banners like Albertsons, Vons, and Safeway, has just been released. Five Wyoming Albertsons including one of the two Cheyenne locations is included in the list of stores that C&S would operate if the merger goes through. Quick glimpse of recent events with this merger Albertsons and Kroger have shown interest in merging their stores into what has been dubbed Albert-Krogerson.
