CHEYENNE - Spirit Halloween will once again occupy the former Absolute Flooring in Cheyenne Plaza at 3573 East Lincolnway (near North College Drive).
A glance at the history
For those that didn't see last year's article, Spirit Halloween wound up occupying the former Absolute Flooring, next door to Party America, and it will be the same location this year.

Cheyenne City directories from back in the day (around the turn of the 90s) indicate that Old America was at this address. This address was later occupied by two businesses--Carpet Works (which became Absolute Flooring) and Sav-On (which was later used for a Walmart Recruitment Center before becoming Sears Hometown, then Party America). History of this location prior to 1990 isn't currently confirmed by Optopolis.

Fast glance at Spirit's previous Cheyenne locations
Hollywood Video, Sports Authority, Sears, Kmart, the old Big Lots, Bed Bath and Beyond, and any others not currently known/confirmed by Optopolis. Spirit Halloween to open in August
As of July 29th, 2025, the locator for Spirit Halloween's locations is now live. In Wyoming, three stores are currently scheduled to open including Casper (former Macy's), Cheyenne (former Absolute Flooring), and Rock Springs (next to Murdoch's). The locator page for Cheyenne states that the Cheyenne store will open in August, though it doesn't list an exact date.

During a visit to the Cheyenne store made by Optopolis on July 29th, the store was already well underway in preparing for the season. On the outside, a banner still needs to be hung, but posters were already displayed on the front windows. A peak of the inside revealed that the shelving is mostly-already standing tall. It's Optopolis' prediction that, just like last year, the store most likely will have a partial ISE, a scenario in which only some animatronics and display pieces are featured.
Other nearby stores include Fort Collins (former Conn's Home Plus), Loveland (former EAST JAX Outdoor Gear), and Greeley (former Big Lots). Additional locations are more than one hour's drive away from Cheyenne (one direction).
Update Aug 6th - The store has opened!
Some stores opened on August 6th, others did not. Optopolis confirmed with a worker at the Cheyenne store that Cheyenne's Spirit Halloween is one of the stores that did open on August 6th. The worker told Optopolis that the store opened at 2 AM. Hours displayed on the door (listed below) indicate the following hours for the remainder of their first week; starting on August 7th, the store is anticipated to be open for more hours of the day.
- Wed (Aug 06): 02 PM to 7 PM
- Thu (Aug 07): 11 AM to 7 PM
- Fri (Aug 08): 11 AM to 7 PM
- Sat (Aug 09): 10 AM to 7 PM
- Sun (Aug 10): 12 PM to 6 PM
After the first week, the store is anticipated to return to normal store hours.
Update Aug 17th - Here's a glance at the store!
The Cheyenne store is now open! The store features four animatronics in its partial ISE. Early word on the street indicates that Spirit may be at a different location next year. If you want a store with a full ISE, you'll have to go to one of two Fort Collins stores or some other larger Spirit Halloween location.

For 2025, a sign at the Cheyenne store indicates that the store hours are as follows:
- Monday to Friday at 11 AM to 7 PM
- Saturday at 10 AM to 7 PM
- Sunday at 12 PM to 6 PM
