CHEYENNE - Beach Please Drink Company announced that they will be taking over the former Bison Nutrition and Energy space in Vandehei Plaza, located at the corner of Hynds Blvd and Vandehei Avenue!
A look at recent events and history
First, Bison Nutrition and Energy. This space was recently reported here on Optopolis when Bison Nutrition and Energy's storefront closed, and this business' future became uncertain. It closed at the end of December 2024, and it's not yet clear to Optopolis if it'll make a return. Bison Nutrition's website appears to be down (displays a blank white screen), and they haven't posted to Facebook since their closure.

Now, Beach Please Drink Company. Beach Please is a beverage shop that offers much more than just coffee. Much of their business revolves around tropical-themed drinks including smoothies, teas, crafted sodas, and crafted energy drinks. It opened in Downtown Cheyenne in late 2020, holding a grand opening on November 5th at the site of the then-former Alchemy Catering (also long-since-former Dad's Cafe and even-longer-since-former Quiznos).
Started by a couple who was laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the local business has expanded its presence in recent years. They expanded in 2023 to include a mobile van that they have used to cater at local events, and they opened a second location at The Exchange on Warren Air Force Base, which held a ribbon cutting on September 26th, 2024. In some ways, their main Downtown Cheyenne location has become a hub for locals.

Throughout the years, Beach Please has allowed vendors to set up inside of their Downtown storefront, recently including Twinkle Twinkle Little Slime, Cotton Candy Celebrations, Beez Knees Crafts, Gav Gav Cookies, and a vast number of other small businesses. They're also known to invite food trucks to park in their small parking lot, some of which have included Ranch Eats, Graffiti Cuisine, We Got Wieners, Soul Kitchen, Nay & Jays, and so many others.
Beach Please to open new location in Vandehei Plaza
On April 17th, 2025, Beach Please Drink Company posted to their Facebook page that they will be opening a "north shore" location. Their photos show a coming soon sign in the front window of the former Bison Nutrition and Energy space, located at Suite 80 in Vandehei Plaza, 459 Vandehei Avenue.

As of mid-April 2025, not much has changed with the space yet, but during a visit by Optopolis, a stepping stool could be seen inside of the space, and some odds and ends could be seen in the preparation area previously used by Bison Nutrition. At this time, it's not yet clear to Optopolis the exact date which the new Beach Please will open, but one of the owners shared with Optopolis that they are aiming to open in June 2025.
UPDATE 06-16: Opening date announced, "North Shore" opens!
After getting their inspections passed, Beach Please announced that the North Shore opens on Monday, February 16th at 7 AM. This will be Beach Please's third storefront. Their menu has a partial rotation, but as of March 16th, their menu (note, you can customize beverages to your liking) appears as follows:
The new location isn't currently planning to have a grand opening, but currently, it's opening earlier in the morning at 7 AM to hopefully allow people to visit before work or school. This is in contrast to the Downtown location that doesn't open until 10 AM.
Within the 7-AM hour, multiple visitors showed up at the new Beach Please location. Their first customer arrived on a motorcycle, while others arrived by car or by foot.
The new Beach Please Drink Company storefront, referenced "North Shore," is located at 459 Vandehei Ave, #80. Unlike the Downtown location which opens later in the morning, the North Shore's hours are as follows:
- Monday to Saturday at 7 AM - 9 PM
- Sunday at 7 AM - 6 PM.
Update 07/01 and 07/09 - Ribbon Cutting Scheduled + Grand Opening
Cheyenne's Red Carpet Committee, part of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, has scheduled a ribbon cutting event for Thursday, July 10th, at 10 AM. According to their Facebook event page, the ambassardars are Maggie Hartzheim w/ Double H Home Loans and Tara Nelson w/ REMAX Capitol Properties.
Beach Please recently posted information regarding grand opening! They are offering $1 sodas (twelve-ounce only) all day, door prizes, double punches, and more at the new location. They state that specials run 7 AM to 9 PM, and ribbon cutting at 10 AM (which was previously known due to the Chamber's scheduling of the event). It should be noted that these specials are happening at the North Shore store on July 10th.
