The new Pinnacle Bank on the corner of Goodnight Trl and College Dr - Optopolis You may have noticed the new Pinnacle Bank being built along College Drive. Here's everything you need to know about the new location! Historic context The old location Optopolis has been informed that Pinnacle Bank is planning to move from the existing location along South Greeley Highway. The South Greeley location is quite unique in that it takes the form of a house. The initial building, according to the property assessor, was built in 1940; the sketch of the building reveals an add-on to the south side of the building in 1955 and an add-on to the north side of the building in 1998. Some history and a look at the 2022 Spirit location Spirit Halloween The origins of Spirit Halloween date back to as soon as 1983, the year it was founded according to Business Insider . For many, many years now, they've been opening at various locations throughout the capitol city for the duration of the Halloween seasons. A view of the A&W Root Beer building when it still stood in 2019 - Optopolis If you've been out on South Greeley Highway near Mark's Motors recently, you may have noticed something missing... that thing being the ancient A&W Root Beer Drive-In! It has been demolished! A long history This building dates back to 1955--that is, the build date listed in the property assessor. It was one of two Cheyenne A&W Drive-In locations. As reflected in an article from Grateful Mike on KingFM , one of the more recent tenants to occupy the South Greeley space was Nifty Fifty's. There may have been one or two other tenants to occupy the space as well, but if so, it is not currently known here at Optopolis what those tenants may have been. Here's what you need to know! Some Historical Info Although here at Optopolis, the exact original opening date of the Lincolnway Arby's isn't currently clear, it is clear this location has a long tail of history in Cheyenne; it dates back to at least the 70s and 80s as confirmed by a photo in the LeClercq Jones collection from 1979 . In said photo, you can tell the building used the 70s-equivelant of the Conestoga wagon-style. It even had the classic roast beef sign displayed, which is rather rare by today's standards!
