CHEYENNE - Spirit Halloween has taken over Cheyenne's former Big Lots for the 2021 Halloween Season!
Animatronics and setup
Inside, you will find many animatronics setup in the display called "Halloween Factory." Included at the Cheyenne Spirit this year are Mr. Howl; Henry Hustle, Sitting Scarecrow, Buzzsaw, and Grim; Sam; and Harvester of Souls, Wacky Mole, and Evelyn Leech. All of these animatronics are displayed at various parts of this 'factory.' You can see them pictured below:
History of this space
This tenant was built as part of the Cheyenne Plaza in 1981, apparently being occupied originally by some kind of grocery or drug store (if you know what stores were here originally, comment below).

In 2019, Big Lots decided to move to a new location for a larger space in the Parkway Plaza in half of what was a Hobby Lobby that also relocated. It opened on September 26th of that year.

In 2020, this space was used for the Delta Kappa Gamma Annual Used Book Sale, bringing in a greater amount of traffic than usual to this area.

Previous locations of Spirit Halloween in Cheyenne
Spirit Halloween is one of many seasonal pop up stores and one of the few that typically opens in Cheyenne each year. They opened in Cheyenne's Sears in 2018 after its closure at the start of that same year.

They also occupied the Hollywood Video in 2011 and the third Kmart in 2019 and 2020.
They even occupied Cheyenne's former Sports Authority in 2017 after their closure in 2016!
