What has been a rumor for months has now been confirmed: Freddy's is planning to build a new location here in Cheyenne! [2nd in Wyoming!]

Rumor has had it that Freddy's was planning to expand to Cheyenne as far back as spring 2021, although Freddy's website didn't (and still doesn't as of yet) display it as a future location. However, a search of Freddy's on the Cheyenne Planning and Development website reveals site plans have been submitted for a brand new Cheyenne location!

Since the initial discovery of this detail here at Optopolis back in October, Cap City News has also very recently found further confirmation that Freddy's indeed was in the process of opening a location in Cheyenne according to Cap City's article.

Although the address isn't obviously displayed in the main project view of the development website, the parcel number and site plan both confirm that this Freddy's is set to be built next to the new Meridian Federal Trust that was just built in 2020 in front of Lowes Home Improvement Warehouse.

This will be Wyoming's second Freddy's location, following the Laramie location that opened (link is dead, please view on web.archive) in the former Village Inn/J's Steakhouse in 2018.

Speaking of Laramie's Freddy's, site plans and elevations indicate that Cheyenne's Freddy's will be very similar in layout and design to Laramie's, with an empty space that could be occupied by another business.

According to the site plan, Freddy's will occupy the left ±2,839 sqr feet* (west portion) of the building, and the other proposed restaurant space will occupy the right ±3,098 sqr feet* (east portion) of the building. It's possible this "T.B.D. restaurant" will be a drive thru restaurant, as it shows two separate drive thru lanes on each side of the building; however, time will tell what tenant ultimately makes use of this space.

At this time, a day of construction and a day of opening are yet to be announced.

Are you hyped to have Freddy's here in Cheyenne finally? Will/Have you tried Freddy's!? Please share your thoughts in the comments!

*The site plan indicates these are rough estimates of the square footage.
