CHEYENNE - On The Spot Mobile Tires and Service is scheduled to close their shop and shift to only offering service from their mobile unit. While they aren't shuttering entirely and will continue mobile service, they soon will close their Ridge Road retail shopfront.
A glance at the history
Back in August 2023, it was reported here on Optopolis that On The Spot would expand their business by opening a physical shop at the former Palmer's shop on Ridge Road south of Dell Range Blvd. More details of Palmer's history were mentioned in the last article on this topic, but it's noteworthy to mention that Palmer's occupied that location since at least 1990 as confirmed by the 1990 Cheyenne City Directory.

On the Spot opened their physical storefront on September 2nd, 2023. They held an event that day that also allowed Barrett Creek Coffee (now a physical storefront at the Depot Plaza) as well as Noam's Table to set up their food trucks. On the Spot also did a raffle, giving vouchers for new tires, oil changes, and even puppy training sessions with Pup Master Academy.
On the Spot announces closure of their physical retail shop
Early in the afternoon of July 14th, 2025, On the Spot posted to their Facebook page that they will be closing their Ridge Road vehicle shop by the end of July. They state that this isn't goodbye, as they intend to continue exclusively with their mobile work.

The owner, Rick, says that he, "[came] across a job opportunity that is too great for my family to turn down." He states that they will only be able to run the mobile truck part time, but they are retaining employees that will allow them to continue running full-time hours on an alternating schedule.
[What it currently looks like]
On The Spot's shop is located at 4302 Ridge Road, and as of the morning of July 15th, 2025, the lot still had many vehicles present, including a Corvette; a worker could also be seen working on one vehicle inside of a bay at their shop. Although passenger vehicles are at the vocal point of the business, they've also been known to work on other vehicles like skid steers (construction) and off-road motorsport-type vehicles.

Business hours listed in the door of the shop indicate that the business operates during the following hours:
- Sunday - CLOSED
- Mon to Fri - 8 AM to 6 PM
- Saturday - 8 AM to 4 PM
At this time, the exact final day at their physical, permanent shop front isn't known to Optopolis, although it is expected to be before the end of July 2025 as mentioned above.
