Clean Eatz is expanding their Cheyenne presence! They are planning to open a location at the Blue Diamond Center just south of the Blue FCU World Headquarters. Here's a glance at what to expect!

A quick reflection of the area's history

Most people in Cheyenne will likely remember the Cole Shopping Center that once stood in this area. It contained one larger grocery store along with several smaller-format businesses; over the years, many different tenants have occupied spaces in the once-booming plaza including Radioshack, Blockbuster Video, Safeway, and Cole Square Cinemas.

The Cole Shopping Center was demolished in 2019 for Blue FCU's World Headquarters, which has been in use for over three years as of the original time of posting this article.

Part of their new headquarters included plans for a retail plaza called the Blue Diamond Center that would include a new bank branch and, later, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness. The Blue Diamond Center stands roughly in the location where Fantastic Sam's, Blockbuster Video, and Radioshack all once operated.

Plans submitted, coming soon signs go up

Clean Eatz recently posted signs in the windows of part of the Blue Diamond Center, and plans in the city planning website further confirm the soon-to-be tenant. Clean Eatz is set to occupy the remaining space next door to Mayweather, including what was temporarily used as a small check-in office used during construction.

Interestingly, there seems to be two parts to Clean Eatz, both of which use similar branding, feature the same fork-on-a-heart logo, and seem to promote healthier meals:

  • The actual restaurant, Clean Eatz (nearest location is in Johnstown, Colorado)
  • The delivery service, Clean Eatz Kitchen (delivers food anywhere in the continental US).

It appears what would be opening in the Blue Diamond Center is the restaurant format of Clean Eatz. As seen on their coming soon signage, they also plan to offer meal plans through the restaurant.

As of the original time of posting this article, there are permits submitted for the space, and construction of the interior doesn't appear to have begun yet.

Signage goes up on building (update 05-03)

Physical signage previously went up on the building further confirming that Clean Eatz is on the way. It doesn't appear any other significant change has taken place yet.

Dutch Bros Coffee is coming to Cheyenne (for real)

Old Chicago closes Cheyenne restaurant!

Cheyenne's Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom permanently closed yesterday evening, at least an hour before their normal closing time of 10 PM on Sundays. A glance at the history of it According to Old Chicago's about page , Old Chicago dates back to its 1976 founding in Boulder, Colorado. They brag about their "tavern thin and classic thick crust pizzas" and their "110 local and legendary beers."
