Last December, Cheyenne Foundation purchased the former Outlaw Saloon with plans to replace it with a privately-funded south-side community center; now, a sign outside of the soon-to-be recreational facility marks the old Saloon as the future home of the rec center! It’s expected to be able to support people of all ages (toddlers to seniors) & also to be open to all Cheyenne residents. Building demolition is slated to begin this month (September). This news follows Maurice W. “Maury” Brown’s passing on Oct. 30th, 2023.
