Hickory Farms, High Country Almonds are open again for the Christmas Season!

For many years now, Hickory Farms and High Country Almonds have been setting up shop here in Cheyenne for the Christmas season, and both are now back again!

What is Hickory Farms? Where are they located this year? And a bit of history.

Hickory Farms is a store that offers various combinations of meat and cheese, especially including summer sausage although they also have other products as well which can be seen on their website. You may have seen their stuff sold in various stores including Walmart in addition to their own seasonal stores.

In previous years, Hickory Farms has opened at various different spots in the mall including the old Union Wireless space. This year, however, they are taking the corner space next to Appliance Factory / Mattress Kingdom, across from the old Christopher & Banks/Daily Thread.

More specifically, this is the space that was occupied by Zales Jewelry since at least 2001; their store closed by or before 2019. The space was recently used by It's Sew You (which could be seen open in late July 2020 but had closed by May 2021). It was also used by DKG in 2023 for their 39th Annual Used Book Sale, one of the numerous spaces where used books were on display and available for purchase.

When does Hickory Farms' Cheyenne store open?

Today, actually.

Hickory Farms previously planned on opening on a sooner date as seen on the webpage for the Cheyenne location, but they didn't end up opening up just yet. A sign posted at the location as of November 17th stated they plan to open on Saturday, November 18th.

What about High Country Almonds?

If you've been to the mall recently and smelled that sweet smell upon entering the mall, then you already have some idea of where this is going. Yes, High Country Almonds is also back at the mall! They just opened late this past week. If you aren't familiar with High Country Almonds, they offer roasted nuts including almonds, pecans, and cashews. Their pricing is as follows:

Snack Pack - $4.00

1/2 Lb - $8.00

1 Lb - $15.00		 1/4 Lb - $5.00

1/2 Lb - $9.00

1 Lb - $17.00		 1 Lb - $6.00 plus the nuts

2 Lb - $ 7.00 plus the nuts

Hickory Farms, I believe you can order online and have stuff shipped.

As for High Country Almonds, they do not appear to have a website; probably'd have to go in the mall. I'm not sure if they'd do some kind of delivery thing from the mall location or if it'd be limited to buying on the spot.

Dutch Bros Coffee is coming to Cheyenne (for real)

Old Chicago closes Cheyenne restaurant!

Cheyenne's Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom permanently closed yesterday evening, at least an hour before their normal closing time of 10 PM on Sundays.
