Arby's on Yellowstone is getting a refresh!

Not long ago, the E Lincolnway Arby's was in the process of remodeling. Now, the Yellowstone Rd Arby's is doing some construction, and it appears it will be going a somewhat similar route as the E Lincolnway location.

Some history

Unlike the E Lincolnway Arby's, this location is fairly new. The property assessor notes that the building was built in 1996 with a small add-on to the front in 2003. Google Earth imagery from 1994 labeled as the US Geological Survey reveals that the land was previously vacant.

Things posted inside the restaurant indicate that this location is owned by franchisee Good Times CEK, LLC and confirms that Arby's has been present at this location since at least 2005. This building, unlike the E Lincolnway and W College Dr locations, uses more of a simple box-design although it has previously featured similar aspects of the other Arby's locations such as the neon Arby's sign in the front window.

On the topic of history, something that made this location more unique is the display case inside the restaurant which contains various old photos of Cheyenne among other things.

Remodel begins

Recently, the Arby's signs on the building had been taken down. As of late October, it was unclear here at Optopolis what was happening for certain until the start of November when one could see that a new paint job had been applied to the building.

There was also concrete work taking place; repairs were being made to the entry and exit to the parking lot as well as some of the parking areas.

The sign on the road indicated that in spite of construction, the drive thru was still open like normal; drivers (at the time the photo above was taken) just had to enter through the part of the parking lot that usually would be used only as an exit from the lot.

It appears there is a permit in the Cheyenne City Planning website for Right of Way, which allows for the shoulder to be closed for the concrete work.

At this time, it is not known here at Optopolis if the dining room will also be remodeled or not. As of the night of November 6th, the concrete work appears to be complete; the building has been repainted as mentioned above, but the Arby's exterior wall signage has not been installed back onto the building.

Do you like the newer color scheme being placed on the Arby's buildings better than the old? Let us know your thoughts on the remodel in the comments!
