As of the afternoon of 2/6/2020, it is officially confirmed that the Loveland Kmart is closing.

Word initially came in early this morning this Kmart would close, with reports of the Layaway being shut down, and by early after noon of February 6th, this Kmart was added to the slated list.

The Big Kmart in Loveland isn't the oldest location in the state of Colorado, but it is the last. It was built in 1980, not quite ten years after Fort Collins' Kmart was built. It's been going strong for many years, regularly seeing plenty of customer traffic.

This Kmart will close by the end of April of 2020. It's getting harder and harder to find Kmarts anywhere in this part of the US, even the last Wyoming Kmart is currently under liquidation status and seeing its final weeks. There are approximately 45 locations currently not officially under closure status, out of about 4000 Kmart locations in all of Kmart's history.

This closure is in addition to the Pueblo Kmart that closed last year at Christmas time, which was the only other Kmart location in Colorado still open at this time.

This post is to be updated as more information on this Kmart comes in; please return later for more information.
