KOA (Kampgrounds of America) is building a new facility along S Greeley Hwy on land that was previously home to High Country Truck & Auto / The Bargain Lot. The facility will also take the place of previously vacant land east of the Breeze Thru car wash. Site plans indicate that the facility is anticipated to feature a commercial-grade playground, a dog park, four sites for tent camping, 41 camper spots, and eight cabins that each measure up to 250 sqr feet. It also is planned to include a building that will feature the office, a laundry area, showers, and the store. Access from the S Greeley Hwy right-of-way will be provided via entryways provided both north and south of Breeze Thru. The long-since-former Laramie County Recycling building is already demolished, and currently, the new KOA location is still under construction.
