Hilltop Bank acquires Cheyenne State Bank, re-brands [Cheyenne's Retail Minute]

In November 2023, Hilltop National Bank of Casper announced plans to expand to Downtown Cheyenne along W 18th Street. Fast-forward to October 2025, Hilltop Bank announced they were set to acquire Cheyenne State Bank which has a location along West 19th Street. On March 2nd, 2026, the headline of a press release from Hilltop Bank read, “Hilltop Bank completes the acquisition of Cheyenne State Bank.” The release states that the acquisition was completed officially as of February 27th.

Cheyenne State Bank reopened as Hilltop Bank on Mon., Mar. 2nd, and the operational conversion is set to take place over the weekend of Mar. 13th. Hilltop Bank has locations in Casper, Glenrock, Gillette, and Cheyenne.

They’re currently building a new location along Prairie Avenue near Petco and next door to US Renal Care, about a quarter of a mile from Frontier Mall.
