Second Cheyenne Ziggi's is about to Open!

Ziggi's Coffee is about to open a second location in the capitol city, and a third one appears to be on the way!

Background: First Wyoming location

Ziggi's Coffee opened their first Wyoming location in 2021 in part of the former Big Apple Bagels along Yellowstone Road--of course, here in Cheyenne.

For those who may not know, Taco John's used to be in the building next to Grease Monkey. They long-since moved across the street to their then-newly-built restaurant that replaced the Montessori School of Cheyenne.

The old building was replaced by Big Apple Bagels, but Big Apple Bagels closed around the end of 2020/start of 2021, with Ziggi's and Domino's starting to renovate the inside not long after the closure.

Second Ziggi's to open next week

Initially here at Optopolis, permits were discovered for a new Ziggi's Coffee- but at the intersection of E Pershing Blvd and Airport Pkwy (more on this in the next section of this article). Not long after, however, permits were submitted for a Downtown Cheyenne location as well, and that Downtown location is almost ready to open!

Western Vista has been renovating the City Center Building for what appears to be another Cheyenne branch, and Ziggi's is taking over the eastern corner of the first floor of the building. As such, this location is quite the opposite of the Yellowstone location in that it won't have a drive thru!

Instead, Cheyenne's second Ziggi's has an interior order counter; according to a comment on a post from the location's Facebook page, this location is set to have tables inside as well. Site plans indicate that there will soon be an exterior walk-up window too.

According to a post from this Ziggi's Coffee location on Facebook, the Downtown Cheyenne Ziggi's is set to open on Tuesday, February 21st.

A third one appears to be on the way

As mentioned previously in this article (and on a recent article), permits were submitted for a new Ziggi's at the intersection of E Pershing Blvd and Airport Pkwy (or Morrie Avenue). Furthermore, remnants of the old Stag Oil Company gas station including the trees behind the building and the street lamps have been removed.

Items in the city planning website do indicate some interesting features and aspects to this location. First, site plans indicate that Braun Drive--the street behind of Dairy Queen and the neighboring businesses--is going to be extended to intersect with Airport Pkwy.

Also according to the site plans, the drive thru entries--that's right, entries--are planned to be placed on Braun Drive. There aren't plans for an indoor dining area, but the plans indicate there is set to be a walk-up window easily accessed from E Pershing Blvd.

As of right now, this location is yet to begin being built and it's not clear when it will be built, but so far, it has already made more headway than the drug store that had submitted plans at the location many years back.

Dutch Bros Coffee is coming to Cheyenne (for real)

Old Chicago closes Cheyenne restaurant!

Cheyenne's Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom permanently closed yesterday evening, at least an hour before their normal closing time of 10 PM on Sundays.
